It breaks my heart every time I see an appeal for a dog needing a home. There are so many out there and sadly with the credit crunch more are arriving every day in increasingly crowded kennels.
Anyway, bearing in mind that even one dog adopted is better than none and that you have to start somewhere, I am posting these photos from the canile at Lucignano, Arezzo Province.
They are all under two years old and Ilaria from the dog home tells me they were left at the shelter by their owners with various "excuses".

I could be wrong but this looks very much like a springer spaniel to me.

We had a volpino once and this looks just like him. Look at those eyes.
