HELP URGENTLY NEEDED FOR OTTO!
Hana has written to me from just outside Rome to see if we can help find a home for a gorgeous two month old Maremma pup (pastore maremmano) found abandoned on 8 December and taken in by the canile she helps at. Otto currently has paralysed back legs. They aren't sure of the reason and it could be something that will heal, or maybe not, which may require his getting a 'doggie wheelchair'.
Hana is caring for him at her home at the moment but can't keep him, so we urgently need a caring person with a garden to give this very special little dog a loving home.
This is the information Hana has given me about Otto: "He is paralysed in his back legs, but he can move around and at some point he needs some "doggie wheels". At the moment he is having treatment "Cortisone", if this works then he will gain the use of his back legs again - fingers crossed. He has not been vaccinated that I know of and has no microchip. He lets me know when he needs to go out in the garden. He was at our rescue centre for a few days after he was found, and then he came to stay with me. He is a great little puppy, he's no trouble, he's placid and not needy. He needs someone with a big heart, time to devote to him, maybe a family, a large outdoor space where in the future he can get out on his "doggie wheels".
PLEASE CAN YOU HELP? Then please contact Barbara, who is responsible for the canile.
