We have two Italian cats, strays that we rescued (well, two strays and then one had kittens, but has since sadly died of skin cancer. Nothing could make me happier than seeing them relaxing in the sun, happy and well-fed and most importantly - loved. They get on well with the dogs and even play together sometimes.
So it makes me so sad that there are so many abandoned and homeless cats and kittens in Italy. I often get appeals which I post here, but at the moment there are no specific cats or kittens so I am posting this general appeal for the fantastic Rifugio Cinni, near Arezzo, Tuscany:
This cat shelter is run by British vet Dr Malcolm Halliday. They are full to overflowing so it is well worth a visit.
